The nomination process for steward positions was held in May 2007 for six at-large positions. Incumbents Rich Amyot, Migdalia Rodriguez, Steve Gally, and Jim Lyons submitted petitions, as well as Richard Hart and Andrew Lind. Only six individuals submitted petitions for the six positions, therefore all petitioners become union representatives and there will not be a general election . June/2007 Update: Rick Hart transferred to another agency and resigned from the position of DOCS Division 229 union representative. 2/20/08 Update: Andrew Lind transferred to another agency and resigned from the position of DOCS Division 229 union representative. 4/21/08 New steward elections will be held to replace the two vacant positions. Look for nominating petitions in the mail. 6/10/08 Two new stewards were elected - Bob Jones and John Suchy. Both men work in Building 2; Bob in Inmate Grievance and John in Special Operations. |
